Art was certainly one outstanding man, always had stories of flying and a big smile on his face each and every time I seen him out walking or getting his mail from me or when I'd take his parcels to him and his wonderful wife!! I have been his mail man for many years and we always had great conversations!! I won't forget his invitation for breakfast at the airport on him... Unfortunately I was never able to make it ... I regret not making the time to go, to see his passion and have some incredible food made by his very talented wife... Just a couple of months ago while delivering the mail my truck broke down on calabogie road I had no cell service n no one close by was home, I then remembered I had seen Art out for a stroll so I made the 1-2km walk to his house he welcomed me in as though I was part of the family and let me use his phone to get some help... I would have been stranded for awhile if not for Art that day... Even as his mailman I have so many wonderful memories... One of the best customers and someone I was proud to call a friend... Art you will be sadly missed but u will never ever be forgotten!!! Each time I see a plane while I'm on Calabogie rd I'll think of u as I did today while Speaking with your wife on your deck!

I think that what I will remember most of my Uncle Art is that he was the most positive member of my extended family. Every time I visited him he had a smile on his face and was always so happy to see us and talk about every subject he was enthusiastically engaged in. I love that his zest for life transpired to others as did his love for my grandfather. I'm glad that we were able to bond over the archives I was able to discover of my grandfather and I cherish the conversations and time we had together. Samantha

Well Art, if it weren't for you I probably never would've had an interest in airplanes. Ever since that first flight ten years ago at the Arnprior Airport we've talked about all things flying like airplanes, engines and that glorious three screen flight simulator that you had at your house and the many hours of flying that we simulated around Miami. I'm gonna miss you man, you helped shape me into the man I am today. Rest in Peace.

Diane and Family: I am so sorry for your loss. It seems like yesterday we were sitting in the "Splex" watching the boys play hockey. I remember Art for his wonderful sense of humour and his kind heart. A great loss.

Thank you for all the flights that awed a young boy of ten, who is still in awe of flying. Rest in peace uncle "Lad"

I have very fond memories of my uncle "Lad", I remember he took my little brother and I on our first flight. It left a deep love of airplanes that's still with me today. He took the time to come and visit us on many occasions and always made us laugh. With your new wings may you soar with the angels. R.I.P Troy.
