Obituary of Sophia Boulanger

BOULANGER, Sophia (Retired Giant Tiger, Arnprior) Suddenly in hospital at Arnprior on Saturday evening, June 14th, 2008 following a lengthy illness. Sofia ""Sophia" Boulanger (Nee Poberezetz) of Arnprior at the age of 78 years. Beloved wife of André. Dearly loved mother of René (Pauline) and Ronald, both of Arnprior; Sylvia Baptista (Jesse) of Worcester, Ma. Cherished and proud "Baba" of 7 grandchildren: Jennifer, Angela (Nathan), Amie, Christopher, Natasha, Jayson and DeAnn and 2 great-grandchildren: Destany and Justin. Dear sister of Anne Pickens (late Slim) of Timmins; her twin Katy Brisson (Alain) and Tatiana Mulligan (late Dan), both of Cochrane. Predeceased by 4 sisters: Vera Trostenko, Sonia Litwinchuk, Mary Gibson and Nellie Kaunas. Friends may join us for visitation at the Pilon Family Funeral Home & Chapel, 50 John Street North, Arnprior on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and after 9 a.m. Wednesday. Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the Pilon Family Chapel on Wednesday morning, June 18th at 10 o'clock. Cremation will follow. In memory of Sophia, a donation made to the Arnprior Hospital "Partners in Caring" Campaign would be appreciated by her family.
