Dear Lorne, Ron, Wayne and families, In our lives, certain inviduals leave a very special mark, a presence that remains, a candle that keeps on burning. Jean was certainly such a person for my family. As a nurse she cared for my wife Diane and my son Frédéric never forgetting the other two children, Véronique and Julien. Even after retiring from nursing, she kept contact with us (often bringing the Anderchek maple syrup and veneson). Knowing Jean made our lives so much richer. I will forever remember her kindness, her gentleness, her generosity, her Love of God. I give thanks for such a beautiful person's life on earth. Union of prayer. Marcel Morin

Uncle Lorne, Ron (Anne) Emma and Kathryn, Wayne (Angie) Jack and Jonathan my heart goes out to all of you. Aunt Jean always had a special place in my heart. I am forever grateful i had a chance to spend a weekend with all of you last year along with Aunt Janet and my mom. I have fond memories of visiting during the holidays, i will never forget the Christmas eve she INSISTED we go to church in the freezing rain and having to turn around and take a different route as the ice covered roads were not drivable. We did manage to get to the service and home albeit and extra long drive. When we got home everyone was just greatful to have made it safely as we sat with hot chocolate talking about the drive and the fact that we could have stayed home and had our own service there. I am sorry i am not able to there for the service; work and commitments make it so that i need to stay home. Please know i am sending hugs through this message and best wishes for all of you. i will be thinking about all and praying for strength for everyone over the next few days.

My sincerest sympathy to Lorne and the Andrecheck family on Jean's passing. I knew her through a group she attended in Renfrew years ago. She was a very kind, dear lady. May the Lord grant her eternal rest and may He grant her family strength during this very trying time.

The following brief story shows Jean's thoughtfulness. In September five years ago I was to embark on a journey that would be an experience of a lifetime. I was going to walk the Camino in Spain, the 800 km way to the tomb of St. James in Santiago de Compestela.
One day after Mass, Jean came up to me and gave me a St. Christopher's medal and said that she would pray for me to have a safe journey. I carried the medal with me and did arrive safely in Santiago knowing that St. Christopher was keeping me safe the whole time. I am truly grateful for my safety and my amazing walk which brought me closer to our Lord.
I still have the medal that Jean gave me and do take it on most journeys. I very much appreciate Jean's thoughtful gesture and know that she has travelled safely to her final destination and reward, eternal life with her saviour!

Dear Lorne. I am so sorry to hear of Jean's passing. Jean was just a lovely person, dedicated nurse, dedicated Christian. Peggy, Grace and I had such a wonderful visit with her in September. She mustered all her strength to get up and have lunch with us and then a wonderful time of remembering after that. We have been buddies for fifty years - not always close together physically, but always connected in our hearts. Our next nursing reunion will be sad without her - but we will always remember!
