So saddened to hear about the passing of Rene. As a young adult Rene was always at our home tinkering around in the basement garage with my brother Johnny. Always working on some car. Rene was such a fun lad, with a wonderful sense of humor. He and my brother would be up all hours waking me up to get them something to eat. Rene seemed like a loss soul at times, but always had humor in his heart. My mother loved him, as did the rest of the family. I was very close to the Martin family, as we grew up at Sandy Beach where Rene's brother grew up and his parents were very nice people. RIP Rene, you will always be in our heart and thoughts.

My deepest sympathies for the Martin Family. Rene was a huge part of my family as I was growing up. He was a dear friend to my father. I have never met a man with such a big and generous heart. He would always be there if my Dad needed a hand or anyone in the family for that matter. I can not remember a day that went by That Rene was not around the house tinkering with something in the garage with George. I laugh to think it was many years until I knew his actual name he went by Curly in our house! He was always a helping hand, provided some great laughs with my family. I truly loved him like an Uncle. I probably knew him better than some of my Uncles. He will be dearly missed. But I thank him for the great memories. God Bless the family during this time.
