Bob Browning, and his family were neighbours of mine, when my parents moved us to Ottawa. We lived on the next block to the Brownings, on Starwood Road
I attended SS#12 Nepean, in the same class as Bob, until we both went off to high school.
I sorty of lost track of Bob, hearing only that he was associated with the Merivale Skating rink (Arena), for a while. I next ran into him when he was a member of the Ottawa Valley Associated Railroaders, and then the model railroad group in Carleton Place. I last met Bob in Carleton Place at one of their weekly breakfasts....it was great to meet him again, after a number of years.
I remember Bob as a quiet, proud person, with an easy smile. I was never a member of his close circle, but I did admire and appreciate him, as a good generous person.
I only wish I had had made more oportunities to be in his company.....
On behalf of the OVAR membership, and myself
I send my sincere condolences to his family. May he rest in peace.
Fred Mills

My sincere condolences go to the Browning Family on the sudden death of Bob. He was a kind and caring man whom I considered my friend. I have a lot of good memories of Bob both on and off the golf course. He loved golf and he truly loved his Arnprior Golf Club. Bob was my golfing buddy but most of all he was my friend. I will miss him. Garry
