To the Herrick Family: I am deeply sorry for your loss. So evident he was a dearly cherished individual. During times like these I often find comfort in Revelation 21:4 and Isaiah 25:8. I associate Bert with Aunt Franny Parson's house in Galetta with the large garden and long row of rhubarb. The Community Hall was moved from Kenny Smith's Corner to Bert's care in the upper corner of the village. Happy Gardening, Bert!

Aunt Pat, Tara, PJ & family, Where do I even start? Uncle Bert, the man who never took off that conductor hat and always had a Timmie's cup in one hand. A hundred laughs per minute! That's how I remember Bert! If he could get you on a roll of giggles, he would continue to fire out the one-liners until you were sore in the gut from laughing so hard. Trying to have a serious conversation with Bert was near impossible, even when the topic was gruesome he would still turn it around somehow. Genius! I often asked Pat how she could put up with him. She always smiled, then let him go off on another roll, until it was time to go. That's when I knew how solid they were together. A wonderful match! May God Bless you, and keep you now. May we always have a smile and a twinkle in our eyes when we think of our buddy, Bert.
