My sympathy to Shirley's family. I was fortunate to share many laughs with you all while at Groves Park Lodge. Shirley had a wonderful sense of humour and I enjoyed time spent with all of you. She will be watching over you now. Sincerely, Fay

Dear Aunt Shirl I’ll miss your sweet face, gentle nature and little love taps. You were always such easy company to be around - never complaining, always smiling and very grateful for any kindness shown to you. I am thankful for all you’ve done for me over the years and will cherish many fond memories of our times together – in the kitchen and out. I just know the world would be a better place if every hostess knew how to make an Aunt Shirley Penguin Garnish out of hard boiled eggs, black olives and bits of carrot and pimento!! I think I’ll make some this weekend. Love you forever.

I am sorry to learn of the loss of your loved one. God's Word promises that soon there will be a time when there will be 'no more death'. (Revelation 21:3,4) I have found comfort in these Scriptures and I hope they comfort you and your family as well. Please accept my condolences. Sincerely, B. Pryor

first thing I noticed today was 'Shirley fray' had passed away....(as she and family would know I had to rhyme at any time)....what a wonderful thought loving person she was from the day we met, and at the Burwash apts. that's where we gathered for our Arnprior League of artists, from her sister Betty, and my close pal still Debbie Laventure.. a down-to-earth volunteer of her time, her thoughts and her reaching out to others. Condolences to all those of the Code family and umpteen descendants. With my love, Norma Dixon (129) revera in Arnprior.

One of my fondest Christmas memories was shared with Shirley. It was the year of the ice storm and I joined the Millers for a turkey dinner that was cooked on the bar-b-q because the power was out. After a fabulous dinner by candlelight, we sat in the warm glow of the fire and sang carols.Shirley's voice was so beautiful. We enjoyed the magic so much that when the lights came on we all jumped to turn them off and continue singing together. Thank you, Shirley, for making it such a special time. Go now in Peace!
