Obituary of John Chapeskie

Chapeskie, John (Retired - Smiths Construction, Arnprior) Peacefully in hospital at Renfrew on Tuesday morning August 19, 2008. John Paul Chapeskie of Cobden; formerly of Arnprior at the age of 92 years. Beloved husband of the late Genevieve Soikie (1991). Dearly loved father of Marie Chapeskie of Ottawa; Joan Sherlock (Jack) of RR#1 Renfrew; Bernice Latreille of Cobden and Darlene Dewar of Arnprior. Dear brother of Barbara Armstrong (late Richard) of Brockville and Dorothy Howick of Stoney Creek. Predeceased by his special friend Bertha Robillard (2003). Also predeceased by two brothers Frank (late Stella) and Peter Chapeskie; one sister Ann Stegne (late Vinco) as well as a grandson Christopher Joseph Latreille. Also survived by six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Lovingly remember by a dear friend Ann Vick. Friends may join us for visitation at the Pilon Family Funeral Home and Chapel, 50 John Street North, Arnprior on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. John Chrysostom Church, Arnprior on Friday morning, August 22nd at 11 o'clock. Interment Malloch Road Cemetery, Arnprior. For those wishing a donation made to the Renfrew Victoria Hospital would be appreciated by John's family.
