Obituary of Leslie Powell

POWELL, Les Peacefully in The Grove Nursing Home, Arnprior on Wednesday morning, August 27th, 2008. Leslie Alvin "Les" Powell of Arnprior at the age of 76 years. Dear son of the late Royden and Daisy Powell. Loved husband of the late Gloria (Nee Burns). Cherished father of Tom Powell of Arnprior. Dearly loved grandfather of Jennifer and Jessica. Dear brother of Mike Powell (Sandy) of Nova Scotia, Bev MacDonald (Dean) of Carleton Place and Barb Brandon of California. Friends may join us for visitation at the Pilon Family Funeral Home & Chapel, 50 John Street North, Arnprior on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. Liturgy of the Word will be celebrated in the Pilon Family Chapel on Tuesday morning September 2nd at 11 o'clock. Interment will follow in Malloch Road Cemetery. In memory of Les, a donation made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by his family. Members of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 174, Arnprior will assemble at the funeral for a tribute service on Tuesday at 9:30.
