RAYCROFT, Norma Jean
Peacefully at Country Haven Nursing Home, Almonte on Saturday morning, September 19, 2015 following a brief illness. Norma Jean Raycroft (nee Lobb) of Arnpior in her 78th year. Beloved wife of the late Harold "Snowball" Raycroft (February 1, 2000). Cherished mother of Rhonda Lavalee (Larry), Bruce (Maxine), Karen McKeddie (Randy), Jeffrey (Carol Lavallee), Barry (Carrie) and Cheryl Moore (Bob), all of Arnprior and surrounding area. Dearly loved "Grandma Norma" of Erin, Jenny, Amy, Meg, Lauren, Shelby, Rob, Jeff, Jamie, Sara, Morgan, Joel, Candace, Ryan and Kristen. Predeceased by an infant grandson, Jordan Raycroft. Proud "Gigi" of Hudson, Harrison, Leni, Ethan, Paige, Liam, Rian, Owen, Autumn, Grady and Grace. Norma was born in Winchester, Ontario on March 23, 1938 to the late Frederick and Greta (Brown) Lobb. Known as "Jean" to her immediate family, she was the dear sister of Glenna (Don) Carkner of Kingston, Glenn Lobb of Burnaby, B.C., Fred (Kathy) Lobb of Kingston, Robert (Lorna) Lobb of Ottawa, Marion (Gary) Shaver of Finch and Eleanor (Peter) Lepensee of Kemptville. Predeceased by on brother, Kenneth Lobb. She is also survived by brother-in-law Elmer Raycroft (late Beulah) and sisters-in-law Lois Kuehl (late Gerald), Marg Raycroft (late Garnet) and Eva Raycroft (late Eldon). Norma will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews and all her friends and "extended family" of wonderful care-givers and staff at Country Haven. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during visitation at the Pilon Family Funeral Home Ltd., 50 John Street North, Arnprior on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and again on Thursday morning from 10 until 10:45 a.m. A Service to honour and celebrate Norma's life will be conducted in the Pilon Family Chapel on Thursday morning at 11 o'clock. A reception will follow and then interment will take place at the Flat Rapids Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family would deeply appreciate a memorial donation to Almonte Country Haven in appreciation for the services and programs offered through the Life Enrichment Department.
