Obituary of David Howell

HOWELL, David David passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2015 at the age of 87 years. Predeceased by his wife, Norma (Walford) Howell, in 2006. Loving father of John (Sarah Soubliere) and Wendy (Jim Norton). Proud grandfather of John, Chris and Greg Howell, Sarah and Paula Norton and great-grandfather of Jayden Preston. Predeceased by his sisters: Joyce (Ken Rapley) and Mary (Jack Leiber). David spent most of his teaching career at Bell High School in Nepean, Ontario. David and Norma retired to their chalet at Calabogie Peaks Village where they were active members of the Ski Patrol at both Calabogie Peaks and Dacre Heights ski areas. David and Norma were also very supportive and involved in the development of the Madawaska Nordic Ski Trails. Their warm and welcoming home in the Peaks Village hosted many family and friends. We are very appreciative of the excellent and compassionate care David received at The Grove Nursing Home in Arnprior, and we are very grateful to Dr. Kurian and the many other medical professionals who cared for him over the past few years. For those desiring, a donation to your favorite charity would be appreciated by David's family. Private arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Pilon Family Funeral Home and Chapel Ltd., 50 John Street North, Arnprior.
