Obituary of Gary Buffam

BUFFAM, Gary (Retired CAO, Town of Arnprior) Suddenly but peacefully at home on Tuesday morning, January 6th, 2009. Gary Buffam of Arnprior at the age of 73 years. Beloved husband of the late Joanne Monette (August 12, 2005). Dearly loved father and friend of Laurie Buffam of Ottawa and Cheryl Featherston and her husband Jeffrey of R.R.# 1, Renfrew. Cherished and proud "Grandpa" of Scott and Matthew Featherston. Dear brother of Beverley Duncan (late Doug) of Orillia. Predeceased by his brother George Buffam (husband of Beverley of Arnprior). Gary grew up in Ottawa and began his career as an accountant with the Bank of Nova Scotia. He moved to Arnprior in 1966 working for Playtex. Two years later, he was hired by the Town of Arnprior as deputy clerk. His tenure with the town would span 28 years during which time he witnessed and took part in many changes whose effects we enjoy as a community today. He retired March 29th, 1996. Private family arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Pilon Family Funeral Home, 50 John Street North, Arnprior. Interment will take place in the spring at the Albert Street Cemetery.
