It was with deep regret and sorrow that I learned of the loss of Alex. He was my Uncle, my God Father and my Friend. He loved life dearly and shared his joy with those around him. He taught me patience, honour and a love of life.

To the Myers Family: Please accept my condolences on the loss of Alex. Alex and I grew up together on the Rideau river, along with Fred, Beth, Dorothy and Lillian. When my father died in 1939, the Myers took me into their home to live with them. It was a great experience, they were a great family and Alex even shared his bed with me. Alex, Fred and I all joined the Canadian Navy during WWII. I have so many wonderful memories of Alex, I am truly sorry that I am unable to attend the services. If any members of the family wish to get in touch with me, my phone number is (613) 226-4399. Deepest regrets, Maurice J. LaBelle

I am going to miss Uncle Alex dearly. A man who enjoyed teaching me to play cards and even letting me win once or twice. He taught me to laugh at myself and to enjoy life. We also were able to share military stories along with a few jokes. Along with these loving memories of my uncle, I have a wonderful drawing that he sketched, to remember him by. When I see this drawing, I will be thinking of you - Uncle Alex. I am going to miss you, my friend and my uncle. Go with God!! Love Kathy
