Obituary of Phyllis Beattie

BEATTIE, Phyllis (Nee Bond) Peacefully at Fairview Manor, Almonte on Monday afternoon, July 6th, 2009. Phyllis Dorothy Beattie; formerly of Arnprior at the age of 90 years. Beloved wife of the late Donald Beattie (February 19, 1976). Dearly loved mother of Berverly Ryan (Donald) of Sudbury and Patricia Moldowan (late Michael) of Carleton Place. Cherished grandmother of Wendy Petrie (Paul), Jeff Ryan, David Ryan (Lynne), Dale Ryan, Debbie Moldowan-Peake (Darryl) and great-grandmother of Ryan, Rebecca, Nathan and Noah. Predeceased by 5 brothers: Fred Jr., Lilburn "Blondie", Clifford, Andy, Russell "Gus" ; 3 sisters: Thelma Corr, Rena Moore and Dorcas Shute; a grandson, Michael Moldowan as well as her good friend Al Tanguay. Friends may join us for visitation at the Pilon Family Funeral Home, 50 John Street North, Arnprior on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and after 10 a.m. Saturday. A Service in celebration of the life of Phyllis Beattie will be conducted in the Pilon Family Chapel on Saturday morning, July 11th at 11 o'clock. Rev. Milton Fraser of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church to officiate. Cremation will follow. For those wishing, a donation made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated by her family.
