BERTRAND, Ed (Retired - M. Sullivan & Son, Arnprior) In hospital at Arnprior while surrounded by loved ones on Sunday morning, August 2nd, 2009. Edward Bertrand of Arnprior at the age of 93 years. Dear son of the late Theophile Bertrand and the late Isabelle Clouthier. Beloved husband of Jacqueline "Jackie" (Formerly Bell; Nee Townley) and by a previous marriage the late Beatrice Leskie. Dearly loved father of Lawrence "Larry" Bertrand of Arnprior and Joan White (Dan) of Portland, Ontario. Loved stepfather of Ruthan McKie (Rob) of Arnprior and Berverley Hunziker (Dan) of Chipman, N.B. Cherished grandfather of 7 and great-grandfather of 6. Ed is survived by his brother Paul of Braeside. Predeceased by brothers: Joseph "Joe", Jules, Marcel, John and Lionel as well as sisters: Lucie Schnob, Adrienne Gibeault, Jacqueline McAndrews and Janet Bertrand. Friends may join us for visitation at the Pilon Family Funeral Home, 50 John Street North, Arnprior on Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and after 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. John Chrysostom Church, Arnprior on Wednesday, August 5th at 12 o'clock noon. Interment Malloch Road Cemetery. Inmemory of Ed, a donation made to the St. John Chrysostom Church "Raise the Roof" campaign or the Arnprior Hospital "Partners in Caring" campaign would be appreciated by his family.
