Obituary of Elsie Conway

CONWAY, Elsie Peacefully in hospital at Arnprior on Friday evening, August 14, 2009 surrounded by her loving family. Elsie Conway (nee Soika) of Arnprior (formerly of Ottawa) at the age of 87 years. Daughter of the late Alex Soika and the late Katherine Elichuk. Beloved wife of the late Arthur William Conway (1995). Dearly loved mother of Ken (Barb) of Fitzroy Harbour, Gary (Wendy) of Kingston, Linda Coates (Munden) of Sask. and Judy Conway of Ottawa. Loved sister of George Soika of B.C. and Marguerite Renaud (late Jim) of Pakenham. Predeceased by 2 brothers; Bill Churney (late Dora) and Johnny Soika (Marion) as well as 2 sisters; Mary Saunders (late Mike) and Alice Wagner (Paul of B.C.). Cherished grandmother of 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Friends may join us for visitation at the Pilon Family Funeral Home & Chapel, 50 John Street North, Arnprior on Monday evening from 6 to 9 p.m. and after 9:30 a.m. Tuesday. A Liturgy of the Word will be celebrated in the Pilon Family Chapel on Tuesday morning, August 18th, 2009 at 11 o'clock. Interment Hope Cemetery, 4660 Bank Street, Ottawa, Ontario. In memory of Elsie a donation made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Arnprior Hospital "partners in Caring Campaign" would be appreciated by her family.
