Obituary of Hugh Nugent

NUGENT, Hugh (Retired - E.B. Eddy Ltd.) Peacefully at the Gary J. Armstrong Home, Ottawa while surrounded by loved ones on Tuesday morning, September 29th, 2009. Hugh John Nugent of Ottawa. Dear son of the late Thomas Arkinson Nugent and of the late Mary Anne Lunney. Predeceased by his only sister, Mary Nugent. Beloved husband for almost 53 years of Denise (Nee Meunier). Loved and proud father of Brian (Tammy) of Kenmore, Joanne (Rob) of Vancouver and Mary Anne of Ottawa. Also predeceased by a son, Kevin. Cherished "Poppa" of Ryan, Liam, Cameron and Brayden. Friends may join us for visitation at the McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road (east of Bank Street) on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and after 9:15 a.m. Saturday. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Resurrection of Our Lord Church, 1940 Saunderson Drive, Ottawa on Saturday morning, October 3rd at 11 o'clock. A reception will immediately follow at the Canterbury Recreational Complex, 2185 Arch Street, Ottawa. Interment will take place at the St. Peter Celestine Parish Cemetery, Indian Hill Road, Pakenham at 3:30 p.m. For those wishing, a donation made to your favourite charity would be appreciated by Hugh's family. Hugh's funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Pilon Family Funeral Home, 50 John Street North, Arnprior.
