Obituary of Lillian Barr

BARR, Lillian (Nee Fitzpatrick) Peacefully in hospital at Arnprior early Monday morning, April 26th, 2010. Lillian Mary Barr of Galetta at the age of 85 years. Beloved wife of the late Morris Barr (December 4th, 2004). Dearly loved and devoted mother of Andrew (Ann) of Cobden; Peter (Ellen) of Galetta and Heather Lacombe (Stephen McConnell) of Braeside. Cherished and proud "Grandma" of 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Survived by brothers: Leslie of Sudbury and Maurice (Loretta) of Simcoe as well as a sister: Nora Swanson of Carleton Place. Predeceased by brothers: Al and Howard Fitzpatrick and sisters: Catherine "Kay" Williams, Christine Morgan, Bertha Daley and Elena McCuish. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Friends may join us for visitation at the Pilon Family Funeral Home, 50 John Street North, Arnprior on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and after 9 a.m. Thursday. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. John Chrysostom Church, Arnprior on Thursday morning, April 29th at 10:30. Interment Malloch Road Cemetery, Arnprior. In memory of Lillian, a donation made to the Arnprior Hospital "Partners in Caring" campaign or ALS would be appreciated by her family.
