Obituary of Alma Roach

ROACH, Alma (Retired - Playtex, Arnprior) Peacefully at the Bonnechere Manor, Renfrew on Saturday afternoon, May 29th, 2010. Alma Mary Roach of Arnprior at the age of 96 years. Dear daughter of the late John Valiquette and the late Mary Alice McDonald. Beloved wife of the late Peter Roach. Dearly loved mother of Teresa Blok (Bert) of Cobden; Patrick (Marilyn) of Regina, Sask. and Peter (Marjorie) of Saskatoon, Sask. Dear sister of Patrick "P.J." Valiquette (late Margaret) of London, Ontario. Cherished and proud "Nanny" of 10 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter. Predeceased by 2 brothers: Bernard Valiquette (late Glenna) and Leonard Valiquette (late Geraldine); her only sister: Muriel Stanton (late Clayton) as well as a great-grandson, Justin. Alma will be lovingly remembered by her very dear friend, Mary Jeffrey of Arnprior. Friends may join us for visitation at the Pilon Family Funeral Home, 50 John Street North, Arnprior on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and after 11:30 a.m. Thursday. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. John Chrysostom Church, Arnprior on Thursday afternoon, June 3rd at 1 o'clock. Interment St. Alexander's Parish Cemetery, Sand Point. For those wishing, a donation made to the "Raise the roof" campaign of St. John Chrysostom Church or the "Auditorium Fund" of the Bonnechere Manor, Renfrew would be appreciated by Alma's family. Members of the Catholic Women's League, Arnprior will assemble at the funeral home for prayers on Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock.
