I had the pleasure of playing Tball with Dorris a few summers ago as well as spending some quality time with her at her L'Arche home. Dorris always had a beautiful smile on her face and it was contagious! I felt a very strong connection with Dorris and knew that she was a very kind, loving person. Dorris has touched many lives and she is and will always be an inspiration. I will never forget Dorris and the lessons that she taught me.

Doris and I become acquaintances and friends as she entered the Day Program at Community Living in Arnprior.
She attended Literacy class where she loved to colour and listen by pictures to stories and join in the Money/Dice game. She enjoyed physical activities such as swimming, ring-toss(she had a mighty and accurate shot), and dancing ,always in rhythm with the music.
She brought joy to us all at birthday parties,Christmas parties etc. by her enthusiastic participation and her obvious enjoyment of the refreshments. You knew summer had arrived when Doris was enjoying her first outing to Scoops!
Doris knew when one was feeling"down" and could intuitively make you feel better
with her comforting silent presence.
You have/had a beautiful daughter/sister/aunt/friend. I feel priveleged to
have known her and will always remember with joy her kindness, her sense of fun, her detemination.God bless you all as you mourn her passing and eventually remember her wonderful self .
