Dear Mary Lou, I was saddened to hear of Carl's death, especially after all the years that have passed us by since our early days on Penfield. I remember Carl as a very kind, generous and helpful friend and neighbour. And I remember the many interesting conversations you and I had on the bus rides into, and back from, Ottawa. I envy your 50 years together and hope that those memories will assist you in dealing with your grief. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Jim McCormack

Mary Lou: We are extremely saddened to learn of Carl's passing. You will be very much at a loss without your devoted partner. We just got back from our son's and told him the sad news. He sends his sympathy and will cherish the "firestation" bird house even more. It is placed in a secure part on the interior of his house so it will last a very long time!!!!! Dear Mary Lou, we were very saddened to learn of Carl's passing. We wanted you to know that our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
