Obituary of Michael Walsh

WALSH, Mike (Millwright-Nylene Canada) Accidentally at Pakenham, Ontario on Sunday afternoon, July 17th, 2011. Michael Frederick "Mike" Walsh of Arnprior at the age of 52 years. Dear son of Frank and Inge Walsh of Carp and Dorothy Walsh of Halifax. Special friend of Sylvia Tomala. Dearly loved and proud father of Christopher Walsh and Melissa Walsh (Mitch Melanson), both of Arnprior. Dear brother of Faye Walsh (Norm) and step-brother of Michael Breen (Blanche), Angela Buck (Stan) and Patty Bessette (Yves). Also survived by a niece, Tasha; his former wife Diane Swaine (nee McLeod) as well as his long time friend, Kim Hoffman. Mike will be remembered for his love of music as a base guitar player, formerly with "The Heartbeats" and for his lively spirit as a member of the Arnprior Oldtimers Hockey Club. Family and friends are invited to the Pilon Family Funeral Home & Chapel, 50 John Street North, Arnprior for visitation on Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and again on Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6-6:45 p.m. A Service to remember and celebrate Mike's life will be conducted in the Pilon Family Chapel on Thursday evening, July 21st at 7 o'clock. Rev. Brian Barr officiating. Cremation will follow. In memory of Mike, a donation to "Hockey for Heart" would be appreciated by his family.
