Dear Ann, I was so sorry to hear about your dad. I can't be there to offer my support, but I wanted you to know that I'm thinking of you and your family. Growing up together and spending time with your family, I remember your dad being a man of few words, much like my dad, but always welcoming anyone who came through the door. I felt very comfortable in your house, and that's in large part because your parents were such down-to-earth people.
