I was saddened to learn of Versal's passing although I knew that he had not been well for some time. I have many fond memories of him when we worked together many years ago at the A&P store in Arnprior. He was more of a friend than a "Boss" and there were many humourous times. It was not unusual to have Versal chasing both myself and the late Doug Tourangeau, through the store after hours, with a broom poised at the ready, sometimes ending up out on John Street. Our prayers are with you all at this difficult time but know that he is in a better place, where there is no pain -- a true healing. God Bless you all. Ted Fiander, Nepean ON.

Dear Brenda, Donny and family We are so sorry we missed Versal's funeral. We were totally unaware of your Dad's passing until we read about it in the the December 1st. Arnprior Weekender. We do know how you must feel. When my Mom passed away at age 68, my Dad lasted only 2 years. He eventually died of a broken heart. We never forget and always miss them but are also happy that the couple that loved so much and gave so much are once again together. Bob and I will always be able to reflect back on Versal's wonderful sense of humour and friendliness. He was the type to make time for others. We enjoyed his uplifting visits when he was next door sampling Tootsi's delicious baked goodies! He always shared his good jokes and consistently left us with laughter and a better appreciation of the real pleasures of life. Versal was undoubtedly a devoted and caring man both with his family, friends and acquaintances. Please accept our deepest felt condolences. Your friends, Bob, Kathy, Heidi, and Nathan
