Obituary of Douglas Roemmele

ROEMMELE, Doug (Retired 30 year Member-West Carleton Volunteer Fire Dep't.) Suddenly and unexpectedly at the Fire Hall in Fitzroy Harbour with his beloved wife Mary by his side on Friday morning, March 7th, 2008. Douglas Bruce Roemmele of Fitzroy Harbour at the age of 61 years. Cherished "Dad" of Sarah (Jason Villeneuve) and Erik Douglas, both of Fitzroy Harbour. Dear son of Fred and June Roemmele of St. John, New Brunswick. Special brother-in-law of Lynda Pety of Atlanta, Ga, Peter Lafleur (Theresa) of Ottawa, Michael Lafleur (Laurie) of Kamloops, B.C., Sue McClory (Pat) and Trish Bloom (Jim), both of Ottawa and the late Roy Lafleur (Ivy of Ottawa). Brother of Lee-Ann Wyrembeck (Tony) of Connecticut. Also survived by many nieces and nephews, cousins and countless friends and acquaintances. Friends may join us for visitation at the Pilon Family Funeral Home & Chapel, 50 John Street North, Arnprior on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and after 9:45 a.m. Wednesday. A Service to celebrate Doug's life will be conducted in the Pilon Family Chapel on Wednesday, March 12th at 11 o'clock. Cremation will follow. In memory of Doug, a donation made to your favorite charity would be appreciated by his family.
