I got to know Jarret's dad a little bit during the immediate couple of weeks before Emma and Jarret got married last August. He loved the farm and stopped by often during this busy time of preparations. He sometimes came alone and at times was accompanied by Brenda, they often left a gift on my kitchen counter, sometimes a loaf of his favourite banana bread or at times some potatoes recently picked from their garden. He always came to help and always brought kind words. It was clear to me that he loved Jarret but it also became clear that he loved my daughter Emma. I saw him as the man he was: kind, generous, thoughtful and family oriented. Amy and Jason, Jarret and Emma know that Don's legacy will stand strong through you and your offspring.

To the Brown family, So very sorry to have heard about your loss of Donnie. Still can remember visiting your house as a kid and Donnie always being a big tease. My deepest condolences to the family of Donnie. Many years ago growing up with my father late Maurice Dupuis at the Arnprior Fair Grounds where we had horses Donnie would pay many visits to the barns to talk horse with my Dad. Many special memories as a child and his great love for horses.

My greatest memory of my Uncle Donny will always be his kind heart. As a child I would breeze in and out of his house as if it were my own, I ate his food, made messes I didn’t clean up and woke him up when he was sleeping. He never once made me feel unwanted, and constantly joked with me. He was one of my parent’s closest friends and a valued member of our family. When I eventually had children of my own I loved watching their faces as he laughed and joked with them. He leaves behind a family that will cherish the memories they have forever. My deepest condolences to my cousins who are like siblings to me: Amy and JJ, Uncle Donny’s wife Brenda and all of his Brothers and Sisters, nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.
