Obituary of Donald Brown

BROWN, Donald "Donnie" (Recently retired - GE Canada) Peacefully at Hospice Renfrew with loved ones by his side on Wednesday afternoon, April 23rd, 2014. Donald "Don" Brown of White Lake crossed the finish line ahead of his time. He was only 58. Dear son of the late George Brown and the late Jean Moir. Beloved husband and best friend of Brenda Menard. Proud and respected "Dad" of Amy Neron (Jason) of Perth and Jarret (Emma) of Almonte. Doting "Grandpa" of Max. Dear brother of Bruce of Arnprior; Robert "Bob" (Julie) of South Carolina; Anne Chateauvert (Greg) of Renfrew; Nancy Glofcheskie (Gerard) and Cathy Muldoon (Pat), both of Arnprior. Brother-in-law of Eileen Brown (late Jim) of Arnprior. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. In very close second place to family, Don's greatest passion was his love of harness racing…a passion he treasured throughout his entire life. Family and friends are invited to share their memories of Don with his family during visitation at the Pilon Family Funeral Home and Chapel Ltd., 50 John Street North, Arnprior on Friday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and again on Saturday morning, April 26th from 9:30 until 10:45 a.m. A Service to honor and remember Don Brown will be conducted in the Pilon Family Chapel at 11 o'clock. Cremation will follow with interment at the White Lake Cemetery later in the spring. In memory of Don, a donation to Hospice Renfrew would be appreciated by his family.
