David,Carrie (and families), My heartfelt condolences with the loss of your mom. She was one terrific lady and a fantastic teacher. I taught with her for quite a few years at John XXIII School. Many times, she and I took courses in Ottawa, and had a ball shopping (during the course!) Her laughter was unique and contagious, laughed until she cried. The staff parties we enjoyed with your mom and dad -- oh so memorable! Irene was a wonderful gift to this world, as she was, I'm sure, to all of you, and thus a great loss. Dear Dave, Carrie and your families, Sincere sympathy to each of you in the loss of Irene. For many years your Mom and I worked together. We shared many chuckles at John XXIII School and enjoyed parties and dances with both of your parents. The memorial picture you have chosen is so like her, with a ready smile. Dear David, Carrie and family, You have our deepest sympathy at this time of loss. Having lost my mother a few weeks ago, I can understand the pain that comes with the sting of death. It is comforting to know that they are now at peace and suffering no more, but in the safest place ever, in God's memory.
