Obituary of Irene Colton

COLTON, Irene (Retired Teacher) Peacefully in Granite Ridge Nursing Home, Stittsville on Sunday morning, December 21st, 2008. Irene Colton (Nee Oelsner) of Stittsville; formerly of Arnprior at the age of 74 years. Loved daughter of the late Martin Oelsner and the late Martha Unger. Beloved wife of the late Hugh Colton (1997). Dearly loved mother of Dave (Charlene) of Stewartville and Carrie (David Longbottom) of Ottawa. Treasured grandmother of Zachary Colton and step-grandmother of Sheena and Jordan Chevalier. Dear sister of Ruth Langen (Rob) of Waterloo. Predeceased by her brother Manfred Oelsner (late Joan). Dearest friend of Olive Pickett of Arnprior. Will be missed by the Colton and Black Families. Friends may join us for visitation at the Pilon Family Funeral Home & Chapel, 50 John Street North, Arnprior on Sunday, December 28th from 6 to 9 p.m. and after 9:30 a.m. Monday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. John Chrysostom Church, Arnprior, on Monday, December 29th at 11 o'clock. Cremation will follow. In memory of Irene, a donation made to Parkinson's Society would be appreciated by her family.
