Obituary of Maria Galkowski

GALKOWSKI, Maria Peacefully at the Groves Park Lodge, Renfrew on Tuesday morning, October 27th, 2009. Maria Galkowski; formerly of Arnprior at the age of 83 years. Beloved wife of the late Ludwik Galkowski (November 25, 1993). Dearly loved mother of Emilia Herbert of Arnprior, Edward (Robin) of Drumbo, Ontario, John of Braeside, Walter of Edmonton, Andre and Antoni, both of Arnprior and Pauline Zileff (Adam) of Newmarket. Predeceased by her son, Jan; 2 brothers: Andre and Peter and a sister, Nadezda. Also survived by 14 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson. Friends may join us for visitation at the Pilon Family Funeral Home, 50 John Street North, Arnprior on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. John Chrysostom Church, Arnprior on Friday morning, October 30th at 11 o'clock. Cremation will follow. In remembrance, donations to the Arnprior Hospital "Partners in Caring" campaign would be appreciated by the family.
