Please accept my sympathies for your loss. You may remember that I worked with Betty at Algonquin, but you might not know that she was also my supervisor when I worked as a student at Steinberg's. Our paths crossed a few times and from that time I know how much her family meant to her.

Dear Quinn, Leslie (and families)....I was so sorry to hear about your mom. As you know, I had the opportunity to work with her at the bookstore and she was always, friendly and helpful with a smile on her face. It was years later that I had the opportunity to work with both of you and we had many chats about your mom and how she was doing "post-bookstore days". I know there are no words to make things better but know that I'm thinking of you both.

Dear Hal, I was shocked and saddened to learn of Betty's passing this morning from a former employee of mine at the College ( I retired last year ). You have my sincere condolences for your loss. Betty was a remarkable woman for whose personal and professional qualities I always had the greatest respect. Although we sorely missed her, I am glad that she retired when she did, so that you and she had a number of good years together in retirement. Would that they had been more. May God bless and sustain you and your family at this difficult time. Sincerely, Rick Mannell

Betty had been a long time client, and strangely, it was just the other day....we realized that we hadn't seen her lately. We were unaware of Betty's ill comings. What a lovely lady Betty was, I will miss our heart to hearts that we shared, and her most helpful and positive / reassuring advise that she was always willing to give. Our sincere sympathies go out to the Murray Family they cope with their loss!

Hal and Girls: I feel very privileged to have met Betty. Her personality was amazing, she had a fabulous sense of humour and the most beautiful smile. When she smiled you couldn't help but smile too. I can honestly say that Leslie and Mike were the best neighbours that I have ever had and this was a true reflection of what a great mother Betty was. Leslie's sunny personality and kindness definitely could be attributed to Betty's legacy. My heart goes out to all of you and the only thing I can conclude is that God must have needed Betty for something very important. You will be in our thought and prayers. Dear Hal, Please accept our deepest condolences in the death of your dear wife and friend, Betty. We will always treasure the memories of our meeting both of you and spending the 2 months in Myrtle Beach in 2008, where you, the Greniers and we two had some good laughs. Betty was a warm, impressive lady, who was so proud of her family, which she treasured dearly. Our thoughts are with you and yours during this difficult time.
