Don, Judy, Colin and Bruce. Sorry to hear about your loss. Mom and Dad and Eleanor and Don shared a special friendship, and I remember our many family outings. Toboggan parties and water skiing immediately come to mind. She will be missed. Our thoughts are with you.

Judy & Family We was so sorry to hear of Eleanor's passing. Eleanor & Don were special friends of my parents and we all enjoyed many celebrations together. Today my sons still remember their custom of screaming when you first cut into a birthday cake. May her memories bring you peace. Norman & Dorothy(Owens)McKendry

I first knew Eleanor as the second of my teachers in the Dirleton one room school, circa 1943, when I was living with the Owens family across the road from the school. Many happy memories of those days. And then of course Eleanor married into the Munro family. Over the years I have kept in touch with many of the members of the Owens family, and Don & Eleanor as well, although it has been several years since I last saw them. My condolences to the family. John Bassett, St.Petersburg, Florida

Dear Uncle Don cousins Judy, Colin and Bruce wishing I could be there with you in your time of sorrow. I have so very many fond memories and wish to thank Aunt Nono for all of our time together. Dad always called her his big sister and it was a wonderful time when the two of them where together telling stories about when they where growing up and teasing each other. I always looked forward to our visits. I will always remember that when I was young I always wanted to go to your farm for the summer and Uncle Don and Aunt Eleanor would come half way to Peterborough to pick me up. This is where I learned to water ski, the first time I ever got to drive, and all of us tobogganing. Also saying our goodbyes and heading off home only to realize that we forgot Barry who was still back at your place sitting on a tractor. I also have to thank her for not sharing with mom and dad all of the things she caught me doing that I shouldn't have being doing. As I write this I have to smile when I think of Auntie Eleanor looking down and being a teacher she would be correcting my grammar and spelling put never criticizing. Thanks for all of the good times, memories and love.
