Obituary of Douglas Wood

WOOD, Doug (Owner-Operator W.Y. Wood & Son Ltd.) Peacefully in hospital, Arnprior on Saturday morning, June 5th, 2010. Douglas Wood of Pakenham at the age of 63 years. Dear son of the late William Young Wood and the late Doris Jane McFarlane. Beloved husband and best friend of Noreen (Nee Lynch). Dearly loved and devoted father of Kristy Giles (Brian) of Almonte and Kathy Pinel (Patrick) of Aylmer. Cherished and proud "Grandpa Doug" of Haley, Warner and Ethan. Loved brother of Catherine Lyon (Robert) of Kanata; Jo Ann Paul (Don) of Calgary and Wendy Wood (late Henk Hymans) of Ottawa. Friends may join us for visitation at the Pilon Family Funeral Home, 50 John Street North, Arnprior on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and after 10 a.m. Wednesday. A Service in celebration of Doug's life will be conducted in the Pilon Family Chapel on Wednesday morning, June 9th at 11 o'clock. Interment will follow at the Pakenham Union Cemetery. In memory of Doug, a donation made to the Arnprior Hospital "Palliative Care Unit" would be appreciated by the Wood family.
