Ann,Kenny,Terry & family Larry was a great guys always something to joke about a story to be told, never doll moment when he was around. Close to my 16th birthday, Larry was kind enough to allow me to use his car for my drivers test. Larry, Trish and I set out for Renfrew excited and anticipating an easy pass.
While in the office, Larry tossed me the keys and said, "Tracey, do you want to go ahead and bring the car around to the door?"..."ok"...I replies..nervous but excited...
I put the key in the ignition, butterflies.....put car into reverse, more butterflies....hit the sign on two metal posts while backing out...priceless....
I remove keys from the ignition, lock the doors and very solomnly walk back to the office door. Open it and meet his eyes immediately. Larry: "Tracey what's wrong?"
Tracey: sniffle with sad puppy dog eyes
Larry: "Are you ok?? what's wrong"
Tracey: "I had an accident"..more tears with even droopier puppy dog eyes..
Larry: "How can you have had an accident,,,you haven't left the parking lot yet??" Larry giggled, Trish covered her mouth and smiled up at him. "Let's go take a look" he said....He looked at his front right panel, smiled, gave me a big hug. Took me for a drive to calm down and insisted I still go for the road test.
As we drove back, we passed the sign I bent which remained slanted in this position for the next 17yrs. He giggled again.
I was begging to reschedule...he stopped the car, looked into the back seat and said ..."what's the worst that could happen??"...giggling...Trish even harder...

Larry, we will all miss you at work. Your crazy laugh and your stories. You truly were one of a kind. I am glad to have worked with you for the past 10 years ! Mike & I have worked with Larry for severals years at Sandvik. He was a super guy who always had a way of telling a great story. He will be missed deeply by all his co-workers and friends. Condolences to all his family at this time. Take care.
