Obituary of Larry Rawn

RAWN, Larry (Operator - Sandvik Steel) Tragically and selflessly, while attempting to save the life of a swimmer at Golden Lake on Thursday evening, July 15th, 2010. Larry Taylor Rawn of Castleford at the age of 57 years. Dear son of the late Harold Rawn and the late Verna Henderson. Beloved husband of Ann (Nee Richardson). Dearly loved father of Terry (Kim Parrot) of Ottawa; Kenneth (Melinda Meszaros) of Brantford; Ron (Carol-Anne Brenner) of Renfrew and Angela Ferguson (Scott Sliwowski) of Arnprior. Predeceased by his son, Rick Ferguson (October 30, 2009). Cherished "Poppy" of Hope, Jordan, Evan,Calvin, Gibson, Dyllon, Taylor, Avia, Alex, McKenzie and Jeremy. Dear brother of Del Rawn (Linda) of Rosemary, Alberta; Bob Rawn of Stayner; Marilyn Lueders (Yvon) of Montreal; Carilyn Couvieau (John) of Braeside and Trish Patenaude (Mitch) of Arnprior. Predeceased by his brother, Roger (Ruth of Collingwood). Loved son-in-law of Betty Richardson of Eastons Corners and brother-in-law of Barb Petteplace (Vic) of Perth; Wendy Clarke (Vic) of Carleton Place; Dale Richardson of Kemptville and David Richardson (Carole) of Almonte. Larry was also loved, respected and cherished by his many friends, co-workers, neighbours and acquaintances. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to the Pilon Family Funeral Home, 50 John Street North, Arnprior for visitation on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. only. A Service to celebrate Larry's life will be conducted in the Horton Community Centre, 1005 Castleford Road on Tuesday morning, July 20th at 11 o'clock. Rev. Brian Barr officiating. Cremation will follow.
