Mike, Sand, Brittany and Mitch,
My thoughts and warm wishes are with you all in the coming days. I still can't believe she is gone. May you find comfort knowing that she is no longer in pain and willl be reunited with Frankie and Lindsay.
There are so many fond and fun memories I have of Ducky! From playing in the backyard when we were neighbours, to picking rhubarb with her as a kid(make sure you eat it with sugar she'd always say), to working along side her and Mike at the store. We shared a lot of laughs (and a few tears) over the years. She always treated me with such love and generosity (her kahlua was the best) which I'll always appreciate. She always had a knack for making the people she engaged with feel like she'd known them for years...a true sign of a thoughtful and warm person (to Me, that was the Newfie in her). She was such a kind, giving soul too....she helped numerous people in our little community over the years, never asking for anything in return. Ducky was, as they say 'one in a million', her spirit was infectious. I am truly blessed to have been a small part of her life and will always cherish the joy she brought to mine. You will be missed Duck!
