I just learned of Red's passing. While it has been a few years since I've seen him, I always fondly remember time spent with him at various competitions going back to the 1980s. He was a great asset to the shooting sports and someone who made life better through his presence. He will be missed...

My Husband Vince Polifroni and Red were shooting friends at the Sudbury Revolver Club. Red & Shirley were a very nice couple. I had the good fortune to visit with them every labour Day weekend in Sudbury for the longest time. Vince and I even visited them one time at their home. Red was very well liked and will be missed. Perhaps he and Vince are shooting up a storm in Heaven. Vince has had a 2 year head start to prep the ranges in Heaven.
My sympathy to Shirley and Family.

Very sorry for your loss. I only met Red once, in the Heart Institute, where my father was also a patient. He would have wanted to send his condolences but he passed in Jan.
McGregor Scobie was his name but I cannot remember where he knew Red from, sorry.

Red was a teacher of patients, courage, dedication and all round positivity. He made a point of bringing many together in friendship. There was just nothing like sitting with Red and having a good chat. He was there when needed and when others we not.
Red will be sadly missed by us... Miss him already...

I was saddened to hear of Red's passing. It's hard to believe that I've known Red for 30+ years in the shooting community. I know his friends in the Canadian Shooting Sports Association and the Firearms Safety Education Service of Ontario will miss him. It was always a pleasure to be around him, to listen to his viewpoint and absorb his knowledge. A great worker, coach, instructor, mentor and friend.....

Red had a positive impact on the lives of many, many people over a period of many decades, and I am proud to count myself among them. His kindness and dedication to those in the shooting community -- as a true friend and mentor, as well as the man who actually did so much to run the club, teach new shooters, run matches, and so much more, cannot be overstated.
He was an amazing man, and he will be missed by all. I am lucky to have known him, to have learned from him, and to have counted him among my friends.
All of us at the Arnprior & District Rifle and Revolver Club feel the same, I know.

Red has been such a strong presence in so many lives. A humble man of integrity and unyielding sportsmanship who enriched all those he came in contact with. From serving his country to serving his community, he was outstanding in his conduct. Red never waivered in his passion to support all shooting disciplines and was a true inspiration. You will be greatly missed Red....' but never forgotten'.
