I first met Frank when I was about 2 years old, although I don't remember it. Frank's aunt married my uncle John Sheridan. He reminded me of this meeting when we reconnected in Montreal when my family moved there from Toronto. We had emigrated to Canada in 1948. Ever since then Frank and I maintained contact even after I lived in San Francisco for some years, then back to Toronto. We often met for lunch in Toronto and we stayed in touch by phone when I moved to Victoria where I now reside. He visited us here a couple of times and would go for long daily walks all over the city. He ended up knowing it better than I did.
Frank loved to talk about old times when he used to come for dinner in Montreal. He loved food, and my mother was a great cook. She was very fond of Frank. He was always welcome to join us on visits to Gananoque where several of my mother's siblings lived. They all liked him and always asked about him.
Frank was a truly good soul, worked hard all his life, kind hearted, good natured, with a great sense of humour and I will miss our regular conversations, but I will always remember him with love. He was like a third brother.
You will be remembered well Frank by all your family and friends who loved you.
