Kim was an amazing person. We connected through YACC a number of years back and she was an inspiration. She was always there to listen. Always there to share a laugh, to cry, to give advice. She was kind, but full of gumption. There are no words to express the loss that I feel. I miss you, dearest Kim. You are loved and your courage will be remembered. I met Kim in Coburg at a YACC retreat. It was my first experience with a cancer group and I was a little nervous. I hadn't made friends yet but while hearing Kim speak about her life and her passions to the group, I painted a doily for her with the quote "you've been strange (all along)...the rules don't apply to me" based off something she had said. I found her later and presented it to her and told her the way she made me feel. From that moment on we had a connection that turned into a bond. Kim and I kept in touch via text conversations and 2 years ago I taught her how to use skype, she was nervous at first and then became an absolute natural. Her pets surrounded her and we talked about everything, especially art. She inspired me and I inspired her. I will miss so much about her love and her spirit. My eyes fill as I write this and my heart pours over with love for her. I wanted to share this piece of Kim with the world, our random connection, something so special that will never be replaced. To Ryan, I promised Kim I would paint your pun ideas and I will do that. Peach cobbler, celery stalker and beet cancer. I will paint with Kim in my heart always. All my love forever, Tiffany.
