My condolences to Brian's family, he was an extremely kind and generous man.
My message is a little long but hopefully provides a slightly different perspective on how compassionate Brian was.
i have played hockey with Brian for 10 or so years, I am usually accompanied to the rink by my son Darryl who has special needs . All the lads at hockey treat Darryl well, calling him coach and kibitzing with him. Brian in particular always had a soft spot for Darryl.
A few years ago Brian started up a Wednesday shinny game. Darryl's greatest dream was always to play with us. I asked Brian if Darryl could play, his face broke into his big silly grin and he said of course. It progressed from Darryl playing to Brian getting Darryl to pick the teams.
Brian you will be missed both as a friend but also as a champion of the underdog;
Peace be with you
Lorne and Darryl Clark

For all the many blessings
However great or small
To have you for an Uncle
Was the greatest one of all
The family chain is broken now
And nothing seems the same
But as God takes us one by one
The chain will link again
I miss you

Brian was such a pleasure to work with, So many great memories. One in particular is that I would often sing at work and while I thought it was mostly on deaf ears, Brian would approach me quietly, slowly with requests. He will be missed. I know I miss him already and I haven't seen him in so many years. Rest in Peace Brian. My condolences to all knew and loved the man.
