A private graveside service for Walter will take place at the Malloch Road Cemetery in Arnprior in the intimacy of his family members later in the Spring.
I have participated in several "Friendly" curling matches between the Huntley and Richmond Curling Clubs over the years. When we arrived at Huntley, Walter would be there with his accordian to greet us and to entertain us during lunch. Walter frequently brought his accordian to Richmond to entertain us as well. Although he wasn't able to join us last year, Walter made these get togethers unique and his enthusiasm and friendliness will be missed. My condolences, Sue Harper
Our sincere sympathy. Walter was a kind loving man. We had a lot of fun curling at Huntley Curling Club with Walter. I remember he and Brigitte's generosity in billeting a curling team in 2011 for the Gore Mutual Provincial curling playdowns at Huntley. He quite enjoyed caring for the team.
