Obituary of Ruby Thompson

Peacefully at the Almonte General Hospital while surrounded by the love of family on Thursday evening, June 28th, 2018; Ruby Elizabeth Thompson of Pakenham passed away at the age of 78. Beloved wife of the late Bill Thompson (August 8, 2011). Dearly loved and devoted mother of Wendy Phillips (Kevin) of Hopetown; Cindy Lou Strathearn (Bruce) of Almonte and Sheila Thompson of Renfrew. Cherished and proud grandmother of Karen Phillips, Cora Cohlmeyer (Jonathan), Jake Butineau (Sara El Sherbini), Jesse Friend (Natasha) and Cody Friend and great-grandmother of William, Drew, Ryan and very soon to be Dev Forrest and Elton. Dear sister of Lorne Buck (Mary) of Brighton; Bernard Buck and George Buck (late Vi) both of Ottawa; Edith Wemmers (Rob) of Greely; Marian Ford (late Herbert) of Nepean; Helene Eggerstedt (late Fred) of Braeside and Frances Lytle (late David) of Kinburn. Predeceased by her parents, Robert and Millie (nee Sieroslowski) Buck as well as a brother, Bob Buck (late Hazel). Dearly loved by many nieces, nephews and many wonderful friends. Friends were invited to join Ruby’s family during visitation at the Pilon Family Funeral Home and Chapel Ltd., 50 John Street North, Arnprior on Monday, July 2, 2018 from 9 a.m. until 11:30. A Funeral Service was conducted in the Pilon Family Chapel on Monday at 12 noon. A memorial luncheon took place immediately following the service. Interment St. Thomas Anglican Cemetery, Woodlawn.
