Obituary of Van Ackroyd

(Retired Electrician)

Peacefully at Caressant Care, Cobden on Saturday evening, September 1, 2018; Stephen Van Garner Ackroyd passed away following a lengthy journey through dementia. He was 80. Beloved husband and best friend for over 27 years of Elizabeth “Beth” Wolfe. Van is also survived by his daughters: Vanessa, Dawnn and Elaine; 3 stepdaughters: Kathryn Wolfe (late Marty Huzevka), Deborah Wolfe and Rhonna Lynn Wolfe-Murphy (John); 8 grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren;  4 great-grandchildren and his sister, Judy Daly (Chris). Predeceased by his only son Stephen. Friends were invited to join Van’s family in a Tribute that was held at Island View Retirement Suites, 30 Jack Crescent, Arnprior on Saturday, September 8^th at 2 o’clock. A luncheon followed. For those wishing, a donation to the Dementia Society of Ottawa and Renfrew County or your favorite charity would be appreciated by the family.
