Two years ago last September I was driving by Boyd’s house, I had just picked up my sisters dog at the vets. Just as I went by his house a cat ran out in front of me, I had no time to stop and unfortunately I hit the cat. I turned around to go back to try and find the owner. When I stopped my car and opened the car door, the dog jumped out of the car and started running around on the highway. I was in a panic, upset about hitting the cat and terrified that a car would hit my sisters dog. The dog was running around, not listening to me and I was chasing him. Boyd came out of the house and began helping me try and catch the dog. In talking to him (while trying to catch the dog) I discovered that the cat was his. He even went into his house to get some food to try and help catch the dog. I finally caught the dog. I will always remember how kind he was to me and how he tried to help. I remember thinking, when I drove away: “What a nice man!” I am so sorry for your loss.

Oh my Goodness, I'm am shocked and saddened to hear about Boyd's passing. He was just chatting with me at my Dad's memorial on Friday night - big ole bear hug - and pure consolation (even though I had not seen him for some time). I will always remember the summer I spent working with his Therapeutic Riding Program - he had a big heart and always wanted to help all those that he could.
