Grandma loved us, as much as we all loved her. There are so many great memories of her that it’s hard to pick just a few to mention, but the best memories are the ones that brought us all together. From holidays and special occasions, including birthdays – there are definitely a lot of them! – she wanted us all to gather together to celebrate as a family. It was the simple things that brought her pleasure, spending time together over meals, bbq’s, boat rides and relaxing on the beach; she never expected anything from us, the only thing she ever asked from us was our time.
She taught us the value of ourselves, by teaching us to be strong, independent individuals; to stand up for ourselves and go after the things that we wanted. That was always how she lived her life and that is how she wanted us all to live ours. Although she enjoyed having all of us around, she also allowed us all to grow up and encouraged us to explore our independence as we got older. Most of us are adults now and have spread out around the world to do the things that make us happy, but Grandma was always there for us when we would come home.
She valued every moment we spent together as a family, and we are all very lucky to have had as many opportunities as we did, to spend time with her when she was here. Because of her, our family loves strongly and cares deeply for one another.
For those of us lucky enough to have had many years spent with Grandma, we will forever speak of our fond memories and treasured moments with her to those younger than us, so that they too can continue to build their childhood, with memories of her.
We are sad that she is gone, but our hearts are filled with her love. We do not need to hang our heads in sorrow, for we are better off keeping our heads high to look around at all that she has left behind.
Thank you, Grandpa, for taking such good care of our Queen.
We love you Grandma and we will always love you, as much as we have every single day.

To my dear Gayle and the Roy/Conners Families;
Please accept my deepest condolences on the loss of your very special mother. I have fond memories of time spent in your family home where Marguerite always made me feel like one of the gang...she always showed interest in my life and offered a caring and loving space. She had a strong and such a bright personality...she could really light up a room. Although she struggled with her health in the past few years, that fighting spirit was still present and buoyed by the incredible support of Michel and her loving family. May she now rest peacefully and may you always feel her loving spirit close to your hearts.
With love, Andrea
