Obituary of Leonard Kane

(Retired – A.W. Chesterton)

Suddenly at the Arnprior and District Memorial Hospital on Saturday evening, February 23, 2019; Leonard Joseph Kane of Arnprior passed away at the age of 83. Beloved husband for almost 64 years of Carollee (nee Martin). Dearly loved “Dad” of Tamara Kane, Patricia West (Graham), Lenora Lang (Michael), Debora Blais (Stephen), late Cynthia Lee Kane (October 4, 2010), Melissa Kane (Richard LaFleur) and Julia-Anne Gooddy (Danny Thomas). Cherished and proud “Pop” of 12 grandchildren: Kristine, Mathew, Stephen, Brian, John, James, Ryan, Meagan, Jesse, Nicholas, Rebecca, Hayden. and 9 great-grandchildren: Kyleigh, Teagan, Stephen, Liam, Brooklyn, Leah, Hunter, Mya, Maximilian. Dear brother of Verna Gilbert (late Laurier) and Ben Kane (late Jeanne). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Oswald and Gertrude (nee Gregg) Kane as well as 2 brothers: Eamon and Raymond Kane. Leonard’s final care has been entrusted to the Pilon Family Funeral Home and Chapel Ltd., 50 John Street North, Arnprior where the family received friends during visitation on Sunday, March 3 from 2 to 4 p.m. and again on Monday morning, March 4 from 9:30 to 10:30. A Funeral Mass was celebrated in St. John Chrysostom Church, Arnprior on Monday morning at 11 o’clock. Interment Malloch Road Cemetery later in the spring.
