So sad to find out of Vaughn’s death...I worked for Roy and Vaughn in 1978-1979 when they first arrived in Ottawa. They were the owners of Le Jardin Restaurant at 127 York St. On the Byward Market. I was just an 18 year old kid and they hired me as a hostess. Our whole team became one big, happy family thanks to those two very kind, amazing brothers! It broke all of our hearts when Le Jardin was sold in 1979.
Although we lost touch, they remained in my heart and I can honestly say I thought of them very often throughout the years! I just google his name to see if we could reconnect and the obituary picture showed his very distinctive stance with is head tilted a little.
I am doubly sad to see from this obit that Roy also passed away.
I can’t believe, he was so close to Ottawa in Renfrew...and that if I had tried to look for him a few years ago I would have had a chance to speak to him again! R.I.P. to Roy and Vaughn...you were my mentors and heroes for so long!
