PRINCE, Ken – On June 2, 2019 Ken was taken from us too soon at the age 56. He will be deeply missed by his loving soul mate, Valerie of 37 years, his pride and joy, Brittany and his chocolate lab, Mr. Bean.
Survived by his siblings, Shirley, Connie, Doug, Cliff, and Ed. Remembered by Valerie’s father Ed, and her brother, Brian. Predeceased by his parents Harvey and Ruth Prince and his brothers Fred and Mel. Ken will also be lovingly remembered by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Also missed by his goddaughter, Abigael.
Ken was a Section Manager, Projects – Niagara Operations with Ontario Power Generation (OPG) and he will be fondly remembered by many colleagues.
Ken was a dedicated husband and father, a handyman, an avid angler, sports enthusiast, and took great pride in his backyard oasis. Kens Florida Facebook live videos, Facebook antics, and Snapchats will be cherished by all.
Family and friends are invited to PLEASANTVIEW FUNERAL HOME (2000 Merrittville Hwy, Thorold, Ontario) on Friday June 7 from 11:00-2:00p.m. Cremation to follow. A Celebration of Ken’s life will be held back home in the Ottawa Valley at a later date.
Memorial donations in Ken’s memory may be made to Ruff Start New Beginnings or Out of the Cold Program. Ruff Start New Beginnings is an animal rescue agency whose sole purpose is to find great dogs good homes. Out of the Cold Program is a nonprofit organization within the Niagara region helping find shelter for those in need.
