Obituary of Gail Field

It is with great sadness, we announce Gail (nee Peacock) passed away peacefully at home on Friday July 12, surrounded by family after a short battle with cancer.  Beloved wife of Greg for 58 years and loving mother of Mike (Shelley), Scott (Angela), Patricia (deceased 2001) and Bill.  Proud grandmother of Curtis and Harrison.  Survived by her brother Doug (Patty), her half sister Nancy Morency nee Bothwell (Clarence), sister in law Denise Field (Greg’s sister in Vancouver), sister in law Robin Field and nephews Ben Peacock (Maddison), Jeff Peacock (Anna),  niece Caroline Lynn nee Field (David) and their children Charlotte and Oliver nephew Jay Field and son Raz and niece Amanda Field.   Gail’s passion and love was her family and her profession, teaching, which she did for over 30 years.  She affected the lives of many students at the following schools; D. Roy Kennedy, Agincourt, W. Erskine Johnston, North Gower and Torbolton.  As per her wishes there will be no funeral but a private family gathering at a later date. In Lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Salvation Army or the Ruddy-Shenkman Hospice.  Special thanks to Dr. Tchen and all the nurses that helped with Gail’s care.
