Obituary of Margaret "Toots" Blanchette

With sadness, we announce that our family’s matriarch, passed away peacefully at The Grove Nursing Home, Arnprior with loved ones by her side on Thursday morning, October 10, 2019. She was 95. Beloved wife of the late Horace Blanchette (November 11, 1982). Dearly loved and caring mother of Dorothy Russett (Bryon) and Faye Vinet (late Ron), both of Arnprior; Irene Mosley (Ian) of Nepean; Diane Penney (George) of Kinburn and Nancy Wagner (late Richard) of Arnprior. Generous and proud “Granny Toots” of Cindy Russett, Lorrie Machan (Bob), Stephen Russett (predeceased), Stephen Vinet, Paula Wheeler (Chris) and Kristen Wagner (Chris Norton) as well as 10 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren. Margaret was the last surviving child of the late Sidney and Jean (nee McNeil) Stevens. She was predeceased by her siblings: Fred (late Florencena), Herbert, Leonard (late Frances), Elmer, James (late Eleanor), Emma Vermette (late Hubert), Ronald, Sidney Jr. and Everett (Hazel of Arnprior). Mom will be fondly remembered for her kindness and caring toward others. Her generosity and love of life will be missed. Margaret’s final care has been entrusted to the Pilon Family Funeral Home and Chapel Ltd., 50 John Street North, Arnprior. A Funeral Mass was celebrated in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Braeside on Friday morning, October 18^th at 11 o’clock. A reception followed. Interment Malloch Road Cemetery.
